LLFW Joins the NYC Law Department's Public Service Program, With Depositions and a Federal Trial.

LLFW is providing legal services to the NYC Law Department on a pro bono basis, as part of the Public Service Program of the Office of the Corporation Counsel, City of New York. In the Public Service Program, established by Corporation Counsel Michael A. Cardozo in 2007, LLFW associates will represent the City in taking depositions in tort cases, under the supervision of the NYC Law Department. 

In addition, LLFW is representing the City and an NYPD police officer in the trial of an alleged civil rights claim in the Southern District of New York, in the case of Sung Choi v. City of New York, under the direction of the Special Federal Litigation Division of the NYC Law Department. The case is scheduled to be tried in October 2012, before Judge J. Paul Oetken. 

LLFW Counsel Alan H. Scheiner is leading the defense of the trial, and LLFW Associates Adam D. Weiss, Catherine Hardee and Gregory P. Feit will participate in the deposition program.
